Andrew Gu
At 14 years old, Andrew Gu has been tremendously taken with classical music since the age of five.
Andrew studies at the Juilliard Pre-College under the tutelage of Hung-Kuan Chen and Tema Blackstone. A resident of New Jersey, he has performed in several major concerts and festivals and garnered First Prizes at the Hartford Chopin Piano Competition and the International Young Artist Piano Competition in DC. He also performed at Carnegie Hall after winning Grand Prize in the National League of Performing Arts competition and winning first prizes in both solo and duo categories of the Music Educators Association Competition.
Through the Artemisia Akademie at Yale, he has taken part in special classes with Tema Blackstone, educational classes held in Stella Tower, and composition classes with Simon Frisch.
